How to apply
We offer assistance with applications through Indigenous Support at our Centre for Aboriginal Studies (CAS). Please contact us today.
Option one: apply directly through CAS
- Contact CAS on +61 9266 7091 or cas.sso@curtin.edu.au. Alternatively, you can contact indigenous.support@curtin.edu.au
- Return any relevant documents.
For block study mode courses, this includes an application form, ABSTUDY form and letter of support from employer or volunteer coordinator if applicable. - Complete entry assessment workshops and information session.
If you wish to enrol in a block, you must complete an entry assessment workshop. Please note Enabling students are not required to complete entry assessment workshops.
Option two: apply online
- Visit the course page for the course you’re interested in.
CAS course pages are linked from our enabling courses, undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses pages. - Click ‘Apply Now’ and follow the prompts.
Block study mode admission workshops
Entry assessment workshops are held between October – January the year before each university year begins. You will be required to attend a face-to-face workshop for a day to complete testing with three key components including:
- Reading and writing
- Spelling
- Written essay. Further direction will be provided once your application has been submitted.
AFL Sportsready
AFL SportsReady and SportsReady Education have partnered with Curtin to provide a pathway into mainstream university courses. If you’re of Aboriginal descent and come to Curtin after your certificate IV, you can take the Tertiary Indigenous Enabling course. If you’ve completed a Diploma of Management or Diploma of Sport Development with AFL SportsReady, you will receive credit towards the first year of a bachelor of commerce degree.
