Centre for Crop and Disease Management

The Centre for Crop and Disease Management is a co-supported initiative between Curtin University and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and is focused on reducing the economic impact of crop disease on the Australian grains industry.

The national research centre was established in 2014 as the result of a bilateral research agreement — the first of its kind between the GRDC and an Australian university.

Today the centre has more than 65 dedicated staff working across three key themes of research:

  • Fungicide resistance management and disease impacts
  • Cereal diseases
  • Canola and pulse disease

Situated on Curtin’s Bentley campus, the centre is working to ensure their research continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of Australian growers and industry.
